ABOUT ANKA

A LOCAL COLLABORATION AND QUALITY BRAND.

ANKA is short for Aurland natural and cultural heritage, and it is a local collaboration to develop new products and businesses promoting cultural heritage and food in the Aurland region. The “ANKA quality brand” ensures high quality on products and services offered.

BACKGROUND

ANKA -developed by farmers and local hand crafters.

Small scale farmers, hand crafters and smaller guide companies are often left on their own to reach the larger markets. At the same time, they often offer something truly unique and of great value. ANKA is a joint effort to promote these qualities by working together - ensuring a shared strategy to reach larger markets with high quality products.

A QUALITY BRAND

If a product or activity is branded with the ANKA-logo, you are ensured the following

• Only local producers, activity providers and members of ANKA are allowed to apply for the ANKA quality brand. The logo is only placed on products and activities that are approved high quality by ANKA.

• The hand crafted products using the logo are based on local produce/material/nature in Aurland.

• Activities are based on local nature, culture, food or hand craft - communicated from a sustainable and environmental platform.
